Harlequins are a short haired meat breed that are not easy to miss. Their striking coat pattern makes them stand out in any crowd. They are usually very calm and enjoy being handled which makes them a great breed for kids and beginners. There are the Harlequins which have either black, blue,chocolate or lilac markings on an orange backgound. OR there are the Magpies which have the black,blue,choc or lilac marking on a white background. Full grown adults should weigh about 7 1/2 -8 lbs.
The difficult thing about showing Harlies is that the markings have to be in a very specific pattern on top of having a nice typed animal. But that's part of the fun, trying to improve your lines and meet the standard for showing :)
