Sales Policy. Please read the entire page -Thank You!
I retain the right to end a sale on LIVING ANIMALS at ANY TIME. Please make sure you are willing to provide our animals with the love and care they require BEFORE purchasing .Animals sold for meat purposes are exempt from this rule.
A note about our animals :
I purposely raise rabbits that seek human contact and want companionship. They come to the front of their cage/pen and want to come out and play! They want to sit with you or on your lap and have their head scratched and be snuggled - that's what they are used to. Our animals do not sit in cages and breed , being shown on occassion. We do have SHOW QUALITY animals- but they are treated as pets first- I don't want a beautiful animal that is nasty.
If you are interested in an animal from us, please realize that it has been a FAMILY PET. It has been raised around 4 children, has probably been in the house, has been out to play and has been introduced to a variety of other animals including cats, dogs, horses, rabbits, ducks, chickens, etc. These are WELL SOCIALIZED animals.I want everyone who gets an animal from us to be happy, so I think it's only fair to describe them accurately. Thank You -
Animals must be picked up in ARGYLE, NY by appointment

Shipping
|
| |
Shipping is available out of Albany International Airport. Please realize it is expensive and all costs are the buyers responsibility including :cost of the animal, health certificates, airline approved shipping crate, water bottle and food bowl, airfare, a $25 set fee to cover gas to and from the airport- any other fees that may arise.
It is usually cheaper and less stressful for the animals if you can find a breeder in your area. I am always glad to help you find someone :)

HEALTH GUARANTEE
|
| |
Guarantees vary based on the breed and purpose of the animal. Please ask for specific information about the animal you are interested in. (ex, meat rabbits wouldn't have the same quarantee as a show quality goat)
A basic policy is as follows:
All animals are guaranteed healthy at time of sale.
Should your animal show signs of illness within 3 days(depending on breed), please contact us immediately.
A replacement animal of equal value will be offered upon the return of the first .If one is not available one will be offered as soon as possible.
Should an animal die within a 3 day period-from when it LEAVES MY CARE- please contact me AND take it to a veterinarian ASAP.A "cause of death" form should be filled out and sent to me directly by the vet.If the cause is illness or any type of genetic problem , a replacement of equal value will be offered as soon as possible.
I am NOT responsible for replacing an animal that dies or is injured under the care of its new owner. Examples of this would include :broken bones, legs, spine; not being watered, fed or housed properly; being squeezed, dropped, stepped on; being attacked by family pets or wild animals.
I can not guarantee an animal will show or breed to a certain standard.I also can not guarantee an animal will not change to some degree under the care of a new owner.Animals may also change with age or environmental factors.
I DO guarantee the following : SHOW Quality - do not have any disqualifications at the time of sale. If they have already been shown , I will gladly share any judges comments with you. They come with any pedigrees or registrations.
Brood Quality- may be showable, if they have a disqualification it will be noted. They will NOT carry anything genetic that I know of that should not be passed on. Only animals with good mothering skills will be offered as brood.
PET Quality- PET QUALITY animals may have a genetic trait that makes them undesirable for showing or breeding BUT they are otherwise HEALTHY. Pets are sold for much less but without pedigrees.THEY SHOULD NOT BE USED IN A BREEDING PROGRAM ! Additionally, I ONLY sell animals that I know to be friendly and non-aggressive as PETS. These animals are handled by my children ,cuddled, snuggled and played with. They enjoy and seek out attention.
MEAT Quality- these animals are being sold with the intent they will be used for human cosumption. Animals have not been treated with antibiotics, hormones or any other harmful substances.
FEEDER Quality- we may have available animals or products for ANIMAL consuption. If you raise: Reptiles, Birds of Prey, dogs, cats or other animals that would benefit from a RAW diet please contact us.

A note on PETS:
|
| |
Everyday we get requests for "baby" animals.Babies are the cutest things on the planet as far as I'm concerned. Unfortunately a lot of great "older" animals get left out when people are looking for a new pet.
Bunnies for example are considered SENIORS at 6 months old. That's still very young in the life of a bunny. An indoor pet that is well taken care of can live easily 5- 8 years. I know of a couple that have reached 15 ! Rabbits that are kept in outdoor hutches or travel to shows tend to live 3 - 5 years, again given the proper care.
A great thing about adopting an older animal is that the breeder will probably know his/her personality. A kid friendly bunny that is a year old has a lot of love left to give and probably won't change his personality unless he is treated badly. When you buy an older animal, you see pretty much what you are getting. There won't be any surprises with his full grown weight or size either.
So don't necessarily rule out that 1 or 2 yr old animal, you might just be missing out on that perfect pet for your family!

Added Info on OUR bunnies
|
| |
After raising rabbits for several years now, we have become familiar with our lines and there's a couple things we would like you to keep in mind when considering one of our bunnies.
Most of our lines mature very slowly, especially the Woolies and the Hollands ! They tend to go through an awful teen stage. Don't be surprised months later when that scrawny little fluffy ball with the long ears turns into a rabbit you hardly recognize !
Also, ALL bunnies molt and go through stages. Our bunnies , just like everyone else's will look different at different times. Does that have just weaned litters for example , will probably be thinner than usual and will have plucked most of their coat for their nest. There is nothing wrong with these bunnies, they just need to finish molting , grow a new coat or take a break from breeding and get back into show condition. So just because the animal you are looking at doesn't look exactly like a picture you saw of it- keep in mind their potential for looking like that in just a very short time :)
