FUZZY LOPS:

American Fuzzy Lops are known as " The Head of the Fancy". They are basically a Holland Lop that has inherited the FUZZY gene. They were developed by crossing an Angora with a Holland Lop. They became an ARBA recognized breed in 1988. They have an ideal weight of 3 1/2 lbs for showing. They are shown in 2 groups : broken or solid , regardless of color. Recognized colors include : chestnut,chinchilla, lynx,opal,squirrel, pointed black, pointed blue, pointed choc, pointed lilac,black, blue, choc,lilac, REW, BEW, sable point, siamese sable,smoke pearl, tort, blue tort,fawn & orange. We have found the Fuzzies to be great with kids, very easy to handle and easy to care for. Even though they are a wooled breed , once they shed out their fluffy baby coat , their adult coat requires brushing once a week or so.
